History was made for Cameroon on Saturday, Nov 11, 2017, at Bowie State University, Maryland USA when hundreds of guests witnessed the Miss Africa USA Contest which culminated to the Crowning of Corinne Missi as the Queen. She was elected by a Panel of 7 distinguished Judges both Africans and African Americans from varied backgrounds. The Pageant which is organized by Lady Kate Atabong Ndi, is in it's 12th year of production and attracts very beautiful, intelligent and savvy delegates from across the United States.
Miss Africa USA Pageant features African women in the United States of America today. The pageant has certainly transcended from a small State pageant launched in Atlanta Georgia in 2005, to one of the most highly anticipated annual community events in the nation.
The 8th installment of this annual cultural event will take place at the Ferst Center for the Arts.
ATLANTA -- 2015 marks the 8th installment of the Miss Nigeria in America Pageant, a cultural event that has been growing in scope and popularity since its launch in 2005. The pageant identifies Nigerian women in the US who exemplify beauty, talent, supremacy and intelligence. It aims to create new role models who through the beauty pageant will serve as ambassadors that will define a new Nigeria, enrich the beauty of the Nigerian Woman, and enhance a new strength, energy and spirit for the advancement of women while positively impacting their communities.
Audience at the Miss West Africa International 2014 event, organized by D.Sinatra, witnessed a failed attempt to fix the Miss West Africa crown for Rachel (from Nigeria), a lady close to D.Sinatra Ents recently interviewed on Channels TV. The show heard a mild boo when Rachel was announced as the winner, and shortly after some of the audience walked out on her crowning, the rest witnessed her dethroned by the franchise owners no more than 5 minutes after her crowning. The event took place late December 2014, Delta State.
The audio below taken from a statement on www.MissWestAfricaInternational.com is of a phone call conversations of D Sinatra members admitting Rachel did not deserve the crown. In the audio the same guys who admit Rachel did not deserve it continue to request she is fixed in the runners up position with no justification of any good performance.
It came down to the last five finalists (out of 88 contestants) - Miss USA Nia Sanchez, Miss Netherlands Yasmin Yerheijen, Miss Jamaica Kaci Fernell, Miss Colombia Paulina Vega and Miss Ukraine Diana Harkusha. The beautiful event, hosted in Florida International University, in the city of Doral, ended with Miss Colombia being crowned as the 2015 Miss Universe.
This year Miss Africa USA Pageant celebrates 10 years of empowering young women as Leaders and Goodwill Ambassadors. It's a milestone, a history the organization and its entire team are very proud of, having mentored over 2000 young women who have gone through the Pageant. Several of these beautiful and intelligent women have started their own Foundations of Goodwill and continue to be great role models in society. They learned the American way of volunteerism and continue to work as advocates for various Social Causes, making a difference in their communities.

April 5, 2014 - 23 Yrs Old Nora Ndemazia was crowned Miss Cameroon USA on April 5 2015 at the Hampton Conference Center with hundreds of Cameroonians and Friends of Cameroon witnessing the spectacular event. Nora Ndemazia is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs Richard and Helen Fualefock. She grew up in Buea, South West Province and is a graduate of Seat of Wisdom College in the South West of Cameroon where she graduated in 2009. She moved to the United States of America for further Education and settled in New York where she is a full time Law Student at City University New York (CUNY).
On Saturday, September 21,2013, Ms. Chidera Agude of Corona, California was crowned the 2013 Miss Nigeriain America adding her to a lineage of Nigerian American women who have servedas ambassadors of empowerment for African women in the Diaspora.
